Museum Passes

Families and individuals can borrow a museum pass for 2 days and be admitted to one of the museums listed. This library service is brought to our patrons courtesy of the Friends of Russell Library. Stop by the Check-out Desk in the lobby, call 347-2528, or use the online catalog link below to find availability information.

The following rules apply:

  • Limit of 1 (one) pass per adult library card.
  • Two (2) day loan period, with no renewals and a $5/day late fine.
  • Passes are available on a first come, first served basis.

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum -- Ridgefield

  • Pass admits pass-holder and accompanying family members

The Children's Museum -- West Hartford

  • Pass admits 1 child free with every adult paid admission ($11) to Children's Museum or Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton, CT

Connecticut River Museum -- Essex

  • Temporarily Unavailable
  • Pass admits 2 adults & their children or grandchildren

Connecticut Science Center --Hartford

  • Coupon available for 20% off general admission for up to 4 people
  • Standard Fees:
    • Adult - $17
    • Senior (65+) - $15.50
    • Youth (3-17) - $14
    • 2 and under - Free

Connecticut State Parks and Forest Pass -- Throughout Connecticut

  • Free at any state park (including Diosaur State Park) or forest where there is a parking charge or per person admission fee. The pass is valid from mid-April through October.

Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo -- Bridgeport

  • Pass admits up to 2 adults & 4 children for one day

Connecticut’s Old State House -- Hartford

  • Pass admits 2 adults & 2 children.

Florence Griswold Museum - Old Lyme

  • Pass admits 2 adults & 2 children under 18

Hill-Stead Museum - Farmington

  • Pass admits 2 adults & 4 children under 18

Kidcity Children's Museum - Middletown

  • Pass for kids who live in same household and their accompanying adults.
  • Bring at lleast 1 adult per 4 kids

Mark Twain House - Hartford

  • Pass admits 1 paying adult ($14) and 1 adult free or 2 children free

Mashantucket Pequot Museum -- Ledyard

  • Pass admits 2 adults & 2 children (or 1 adult & 3 children) at discounted admission-$5 off
  • Adults: $15, Seniors: (55+) $13, Children: (6-15) $10

Mystic Aquarium - Mystic

  • Pass admits 2 adults & 2 children at discounted rate
  • $6 off Adult Admission, $4 off Children's (ages 3-17)
  • Adults - $26, Seniors (60+) - $23 Children - $19

Mystic Seaport - Mystic

  • 1 pass for each day of the week
  • Each pass admits 2 adults and their children (up to 3 children)

New Britain Museum of American Art - New Britain

  • Admits 4 people for general admission only (under 16 must be accompanied by adult)

New England Air Museum -- Windsor Locks

  • Pass admits two adults and/or seniors at a reduced admission of $5 each
  • Standard Fees:  Adults (ages 12+) - $10, Seniors - $9, Children (ages 4-11) - $6

New England Carousel Museum - Bristol

  • Pass admits 2 adults and 2 children

Peabody Museum of Natural History -- New Haven

  • Pass provides $5 off each admission up to 4 people
  • Standard fees: Adults; $7, Seniors: $6, Children (over 3) $5

Wadsworth Atheneum - Hartford

  • Pass admits 2 adults & 2 children (ages 6-17) free – excludes fundraisers or special events
