Museum Passes

Families and individuals can borrow a museum pass for 2 days and be admitted to one of the museums listed. This library service is brought to our patrons courtesy of the Friends of Russell Library. Stop by the Check-out Desk in the lobby, call 347-2528, or use the online catalog link below to find availability information.

The following rules apply:

  • Limit of 1 (one) pass per adult library card.
  • Two (2) day loan period, with no renewals and a $5/day late fine.
  • Passes are available on a first come, first served basis.
  • Prices subject to change; please check Museum or Park website.

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum -- Ridgefield

  • Pass admits pass-holder and accompanying family members.

The Children's Museum -- West Hartford

  • Pass admits 1 free admission with each paid admission ($11), to the Children’s Museum or Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton, Connecticut.

Connecticut River Museum -- Essex

  • Pass admits 2 adults & their children or grandchildren under the age of 18 at half-price admission.

Connecticut Science Center --Hartford

  • Coupon available for 20% off general admission for up to 4 people.
  • Standard Fees:
    • Adult - $17
    • Senior (65+) - $15.50
    • Youth (3-17) - $14
    • 2 and under - Free

Connecticut State Parks and Forest Pass -- Throughout Connecticut

  • Pass waives vehicle entrance fees, valid for 1 private passenger vehicle carrying fewer than 12 passengers.
  • Valid for 2 adults and 4 children at Dinosaur, Fort Trumbull and Gillette Castle State Parks.

Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo -- Bridgeport

  • Pass admits up to 2 adults & 4 children for one day.

Connecticut’s Old State House - Hartford

  • Pass admits 2 adults & 2 children.

Custom House Maritime Museum - New London

  • Pass admits 2 Free.

Florence Griswold Museum - Old Lyme

  • Pass admits 2 adults & 2 children under 12.

Hill-Stead Museum - Farmington

  • Pass admits 1 adult & 2 children under 18

Kidcity Children's Museum - Middletown

  • Pass admits 2 adults and 4 children.

Lutz Children's Museum

  • Free admission for 2 adults and children

Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk - Norwalk

  • Each pass is good for $2 off a combination Aquarium & daytime IMAX Theater ticket for up to 6 people.

Mark Twain House - Hartford

  • Pass admits 1 adult admission ($14) or 2 children’s admissions with purchase of adult admission.

Mashantucket Pequot Museum -- Mashantucket

  • Pass admits 2 adults & 2 children (or 1 adult & 3 children) at discounted admission-$5 off
  • Standard Fees
    • Adults: $15,
    • Seniors: (55+) $13,
    • Children: (6-15) $10

Mystic Aquarium - Mystic

  • Pass admits 2 adults & 2 children at discounted rate
  • $6 off Adult Admission, $4 off Children's (ages 3-17)
  • Adults - $29, Seniors (60+) - $26 Children - $21

Mystic Seaport - Mystic

  • 1 pass for each day of the week
  • Pass is valid for 50% of regular admission for 2 adults and 2 children.

New Britain Museum of American Art - New Britain

  • Pass admits 4 people for general admission only (under 16 must be accompanied by an adult).

New England Air Museum -- Windsor Locks

  • Pass admits two adults or seniors at a reduced admission of $5 off and 2 free children ages 4-11 years.
  • Standard Fees: 
    • Adults (ages 12+) - $10
    • Seniors - $9,
    • Children (ages 4-11) - $6

Peabody Museum of Natural History -- New Haven

  • Pass provides $5 off each admission up to 4 people (Not valid in February).
  • Standard fees:
    • Adults; $9,
    • Seniors: $8,
    • Children (over 3) $5

Wadsworth Atheneum - Hartford

  • Each pass admits 2 adults & 2 children (ages 6-17) free - excludes fundraisers or special events.
