Anthea Kreston and Jason Duckles, internationally celebrated musicians, will perform with a “handful of little musicians” on Saturday, May 17, 2-3:15pm in the Hubbard Room. They will play a variety of music from different countries and historical periods. Anthea and Jason are very proud of Middletown’s commitment to enriching lives of its residents through music. They run the chamber music program at Wesleyan and have expanded the program to include student outreach in the hospital, public schools and senior centers.
Violinist Anthea Kreston and cellist Jason Duckles have received numerous awards for their chamber collaborations including the Grand Prize at the Concert Artists Guild Competition and Top Prize in the Munich ARD International Chamber Music Competition. Anthea made her solo debut at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and tours actively with her piano trio, the Amelia Piano Trio. She is a professor of violin and viola at the Hartt School of Music. Jason has performed in concert halls from Alaska to France as a member of the Amelia Piano Trio and Yo Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project.
