Russell Library is Open!
The library reopened to the public on Monday, March 29, 2021.
Open hours will be Monday-Saturday, 9am-5pm.
Curbside services are available Monday-Saturday, 9am-5pm
Grab & Go Services
Public Service hours are 9am-5pm.
The Library is open for browsing and “grab and go” service only. You may browse our shelves for materials that you may check out for use at home.
A self-service copier and self-service fax machine are available.
A book drop is available inside the library for your convenience.

A limited number of computers are available by appointment. Please call 860-347-2528.
Masks are Required
A face mask is required per government order. All Library users over the age of 2 must wear a face mask while inside Russell Library.
If you do not have a face mask, you may take advantage of our Curbside Pickup service by calling 860-347-2528.
If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, do not enter the Library.
Proper social distancing and observance of directional signage must be observed in the Library at all times.
No seating is available. We are open for material selection only.
No toys are available.
In order to preserve social distancing, staff may limit the number of users in the building.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Plexiglass safety barriers are in use at all public service stations.
We are not accepting book donations at this time.
The Library reserves the right to limit, change or reduce services and hours without notice if public health or other conditions change.
Computers are available by appointment .
There are 5 stand-up stations and 2 wheelchair-accessible stations on the 2nd floor. Sessions are 60 minutes long, and patrons are allowed one session per day. We cannot renew or extend sessions.
Curbside Service is Still Available
You may still request materials for pickup at curbside.
