In the spirit of a little springtime competition, we’re bringing bracket-fever to Russell Library in our inaugural Tournament of Books, where you can vote on the top books read last year to help determine the Book Champion of 2024! We’ve taken 16 of our most checked-out books and put them into a knockout-style bracket, where you’ll vote in head-to-head matchups until only one remains.
And the winner is…
…and it wasn’t close! With a whopping 87.3% of the vote, Russell Library’s 2024 Tournament of Books Champion is Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus! Recently adapted into an Apple TV+ miniseries, Garmus’ debut novel about a chemist-turned-cooking show host really resonated with the readers of Middletown. Russell Library would like to thank everyone who voted, and to stay tuned for more detailed results in the near future!
