Russell Library is thrilled to announce that it has been voted Connecticut’s “Best Cultural Attraction for Families” in Connecticut Magazine’s annual readers’ choice poll. Featured in the magazine’s July 2026 issue, this statewide recognition reinforces Russell Library’s reputation as a beloved cultural destination.

Excellence in Public Library Service Award

Russell Library won this Connecticut Library Association award in 2026. It honors public libraries that have provided an outstanding program or service to their communities. Nominations are judged on creativity and innovation, service to the community, and leadership in creating model programs and programs which will affect the future of the library and its community.
